BEYOND BELIEF tells the story of two women who are living the American Dream until both husbands are killed on September, 11, 2001. Rather than turning inwards, grief compels them to open their eyes {u2013} and hearts {u2013} to the world. In an incredible act of choosing tolerance over hate and action over indifference, Susan Retik and Patti Quigley travel to Afghanistan {u2013} the training ground of the 9/11 terrorists {u2013} and help empower Afghan widows whose lives have been ravaged by decades of war, poverty, and oppression{u2014}factors they consider to be the root causes of terrorism.
