Summary
Pouring out over the course of a weekend, rewritten over the next four months, and published in a new way, Shine was, conceived and born, during the 2020 world pandemic to bring light to a world that was struggling. The author asked the question "What will help the world right now?" and the non-fiction Shine is what came through. Shine is an approachable book of 100 pages designed to be, easily read on a flight from California to Hawaii (either literally or metaphorically). It aims to help the reader find light in the darkness and find the balance between each. Its goal is to get to peace, joy, and happiness quickly following a year of trauma and pandemic fatigue. The poems, stories, and prescriptive exercises at the end of each chapter are there as resources for someone looking to shine their best for themselves and their world
