Summary
Sir Arthur Ignatius Conan Doyle (22 May 1859 {u2013} 7 July 1930) was a Scottish writer and physician, most noted for his fictional stories about the detective Sherlock Holmes, which are generally considered milestones in the field of crime fiction. This is a collection of short stories dealing with the problems physicians and surgeons had to face in Doyle's time doing their work. The volume is named "Round the Red Lamp" as a reference to the red lamps that marked general practitioner's offices at that time. (Excerpt from Wikipedia)
