Summary
The author of Bushcat Minstrel of the Wild - John Edmond was born in Luanshya -Northern Rhodesia now Zambia. He was educated in Luanshya, Edinburgh Scotland and Pretoria. Following his service in the Rhodesian army, he emigrates to South Africa, where he still resides today. Music was his first love and after many years of playing and composing in his spare time, he was finally able to turn professional. He was a member of several well known and loved groups, "The Bushcats" - "The new Trends" and went on to become a household name on South African radio and television. He subsequently became an independent music publisher and is still performing regularly. John has released more than 50 music albums, composes and directs most of his music personally. He is a licensed pilot, lives on a game farm and is an avid story teller of South African folk lore stories and South African History a great passion of his. John's book Bushcat minstrel of the Wild will give you insight into the life of a man that lived close to nature in Rhodesia, the now Zimbabwe and Southern Africa
